Under a Newly-Roofed Dugout
By – Jeannine Miller (jmiller@mossbuildinganddesign.com)
If you follow my blog and see my Facebook posts, you probably know about Moss Building & Design’s pledge to be a good corporate neighbor. (Lucky for me since a big part of my job is to make sure we make good on that pledge!) We are always looking for ways to support the community which has supported us since Moss began in 2001 and I’d like to share something we’re currently involved in that fits that bill.
As a long-time supporter of the Chantilly Little League program, Tom DeFranco, Director of Fundraising, asked if we would be able to help with repairing the dilapidated dugout roofs at Chantilly Park. After sending our techs out to take a look, we decided that the roofs really needed to be replaced, as opposed to just repaired. We started with CP3 this year and will take care of CP1 and CP2 over the next two years.
With Chantilly Baseball Opening Day tomorrow, we want to wish all the kids in the program a season filled with fun and memories in-the-making. And to our two sponsored teams, the AAA Red Wings and the Dodgers t-ball team, we’ll be rooting for you!
In addition to blogging about all things home and family-related, Jeannine Miller manages Moss Building & Design’s HandyMOM 101 workshop program and coordinates Moss’ philanthropic efforts in the community.
