Stunning Haymarket Basement Remodel Showcases Welcoming Wet Bar and Cozy Fireplace
Customer Focus
These customers came to MOSS knowing they wanted to finish their basement so that it could function in multiple ways and entertain family and friends of all ages. The square footage was enough that our design team created a variety of seating areas, including a high-top dining table area, a corner sitting area, a large couch space in front of the television and fireplace, and plenty of seating around the wet bar. The focal points of this basement remodel are both the wet bar and fireplace area, which feature natural marble wall tile on the backsplash and surrounding wall, respectively. Both areas also showcase storage areas that are backlit for displaying glassware and décor. In addition to the spots for entertainment and being entertained, the basement is roomy enough for a children’s area and an air hockey table. With plenty of overhead light to add to the natural light from the doorways leading to the outdoor patio, the basement is now a complete space perfect for our homeowners.
Safety
This project began and was completed during the global pandemic. All CDC health and safety guidelines were followed.
Performance
Installing natural stone wall tile calls for careful craftmanship, as the tile must be cut using a wet saw and mistakes must be quickly corrected. The result in this basement is a beautiful, rustic, cozy look and feel.
Fairness
Our customers had a well thought out idea of the way they wanted their basement to be designed. Working with our designers collaboratively provided them with the ownership they wanted while being open to ideas from the MOSS team. Working hand in hand to create a beautifully remodeled space is always the goal of our entire team.
Quality
The wet bar area, which is a highlight of the basement design, is fully ready to entertain for the big game or movie night. With a mini fridge, sink, dishwasher, and plenty of storage, it is the perfect spot for gathering. We especially love the Calacatta Laza quartz countertop used to bring a natural brightness to the space, offsetting the darker sheen of the Hampshire cabinetry.
