Leesburg Main Level & Kitchen Transformed with Gorgeous Updates (Including Two Islands!)
Customer Focus
Our customers’ original Leesburg kitchen lacked functionality, countertop space, and good lighting. It flows right into the open family room but originally felt cut off by the dining table that was necessary to allow the family to spend time together. Additionally, the family room also lacked overhead light, and the fireplace design was lackluster. Our customers longed for a truly cohesive and updated contemporary space for both the kitchen and family room that would allow for gatherings that would also provide storage and countertop room so there was less clutter throughout.
Our design team suggested two large center islands to provide storage, seating, an incredible amount of countertop room, and space for the microwave and a beverage fridge to be located. We also shifted the location of the refrigerator and created a focal point at one end of the kitchen with the range and its unique backsplash tile. Fully opposite the range is the updated fireplace with new stone surround and beautiful shiplap on the entire back wall. Overhead recessed lighting was installed the entire length of the room as well. Now, the whole entire room feels open, fresh, and allows for seating options whether it’s a cozy family dinner, watching a big game, entertaining friends, or hosting a party.
Safety
This remodel began and was completed during the global pandemic. All CDC health and safety guidelines were followed throughout by the MOSS team and the homeowners. There were no injuries on the project and no lost days.
Performance
Our MOSS designers worked closely to ensure that our homeowners wanted to have a bright blue color on the cabinets on both the center islands. It is a bold choice! Our design team offers multiple options to our customers who are interested in adding dramatic touches to their designs. This kitchen also features stunning tile behind the range that draws the eye as a focal point. It’s both a dramatic yet traditional design that gives the kitchen interest and spark!
Fairness
Our homeowners knew they wanted to refresh their hardwood floors but the cost to replace the entire main level of their home was high. MOSS suggested sanding, refinishing, and staining the existing hardwoods as an alternative, giving the floor a fresh life at a fraction of the cost.
Quality
The original kitchen didn’t have a backsplash, and it was a major decision to include that in the updated design. Installation of tile, whether on a kitchen wall, a floor, or a shower wall, for example, is a task that must be undertaken with patience and care. The backsplash tile in this Leesburg kitchen is stunning and was beautifully installed by our expert teams.
