Beautiful Remodeled Fairfax Master Bathroom Makes Better Use of Space
Customer Focus
Our customers knew they wanted an enlarged master bathroom with space for a freestanding soaking tub, large walk-in shower, and double vanity with plenty of storage. To achieve that vision, our MOSS design team suggested taking away the master bedroom’s original side closets and using that space for the bathroom, while shifting the closet to an adjoining room that had previously been used as another bedroom/nursery. By flipping the closets and utilizing the square footage from the original closet, the homeowners now enjoy a massive bathroom with plenty of room to prep, bathe, store their linens, and enjoy privacy, all while looking over their tranquil, forested backyard.
Safety
This remodel occurred during the height of the global pandemic. All CDC health and safety guidelines were followed by both the homeowners and the MOSS team which allowed work to continue and be completed without issue.
Performance
The master bathroom’s walk-in shower features many beautiful details, including intricate tile on the floor as well as in the wall niche, subway tile on the walls, a bench, a shelf, and a rainfall showerhead. The installation of all these details must be done carefully and precisely – the result, as seen in the photos, is incredible and a beautiful reflection of the craftmanship needed for detailed installation.
Fairness
Shifting the closet space required changes to the entrance to the new closet. MOSS suggested a sliding barn door to keep the master bedroom square footage as intact as possible. The blue color of the door matches the color scheme of the master suite to a “T” and gives the space a fun yet functional pop.
Quality
Large floor tiles such as the ones in this master bathroom must be carefully laid to ensure a perfect pattern. Our expert teams made sure that these are in the ideal placement to ensure a beautiful look as soon as one enters the room.
